MAJOR (GLAMORGAN) |
EARLY
JURASSIC |

Summary:
Llantwit Major borders the Bristol Channel on the south
coast of Wales, several miles west of Cardiff, and is an
excellent place to observe rather than collect large numbers of
fossils. The dramatic Jurassic cliffs tower over 100ft above sea
level and extend as far as the eye can see in both directions
from the beach access point.
Fossils:
Ammonites, bivalves, crinoids, marine reptile marines...

SANDS (PEMBROKESHIRE) |

|
Summary:
Marloes Sands is a geologically wonderous location, with
towering cliffs, a beautiful expanse of sand and clean sea water
throughout the year. Fossils are not abundant at Marloes Sands
and visitors will need to search long and hard to find
productive spots.
Fossils:
Trilobites, brachiopods, corals, cephalopods...
